This intricate paper-cut work uses eighteen fish to represent the eighteen studios here at Manchester Craft and Design Centre. The work celebrates the past life of the building as a fish market and uses words left by visitors during the ‘Collecting History’ project, describing the Centre in one word. Each fish represented is native to British waters and many would have been sold when Manchester Craft and Design Centre was a fish market.
