Hand-painted and collaged on canvas, the images in this work were constructed using the same technical process that the maker uses in her every day practice. Usually Lily bases her work on nature but this piece uses the imagery of artistic tools as subject matter. The work was inspired by tiles that run alongside MCDC, on Martlesham Walk, which were created by previous resident artists.
